Help

An association of astronomers has convened to listen to the plan of Professor Barbenfouillis, their president, to fly to the moon. With the one dissenting voice quashed by Barbenfouillis and the other members, the plan is approved with Barbenfouillis choosing five others to accompany him. Lets take a trip to the moon!

A Trip to the Moon (1902)

A mysterious radio message is beamed around the world, and among the engineers who receive it are Los, the hero, and his colleague Spiridonov. Though the main focus of the story are the daily lives of a small group of people during the post-war Soviet Union, the film's enduring importance comes from its early sci-fi elements. It primarily tells of an engineer Mstislav Sergeyevich Los traveling to Mars in a rocket ship, where he leads a popular uprising against the ruling group of Elders, with the support of Queen Aelita who has fallen in love with him after watching him through a telescope.

Aelita: Queen of Mars (1924)

A definitive Peter Cushing, Christopher Lee collaboration, Horror Express, tells the story of a British anthropologist who discovers a frozen prehistoric creature and must transport it to Europe by train. A treat to watch.

Horror Express (1972)

John Putnam, an avid stargazer, witnesses a mysterious spaceship landing in the remote Arizona desert, but none of the skeptical townsfolk believe his incredible story. Horror unfolds when residents mysteriously begin to disappear. How will John muster the courage to save them?

It Came from Outer Space (1953)

In his attempts to convince the British government to colonize the moon, Professor Bernard Quatermass learns that thousands of meteorites are landing in the same location on Earth. When his colleague Marsh joins him in a quest to uncover the truth, they discover a government complex built around the landing spot.

Quatermass 2: Enemy from Space (1957)

During a flight to Mars in the spaceship Mars Gravity Probe 1, Commander Christopher 'Kit' Draper and Colonel Dan McReady are forced to deviate from an asteroid and they leave their spacecraft in pods. Draper lands on the surface of the Red Planet and survives.

Robinson Crusoe on Mars (1964)

Directed by David Cronenberg, *Shivers* follows suburban high-rise residents infected by parasites that turn them into mindless, sex-crazed fiends, spreading infection through sexual contact. A B-movie horror that lives up to its title, essential for Cronenberg fans.

Shivers (1975)

A mute alien, stranded and vulnerable, is relentlessly chased by ruthless outer-space bounty hunters through the bustling streets of Harlem. This thought-provoking cult sci-fi comedy classic, directed by John Sayles, cleverly blends humor, social commentary, and thrilling action in a unique urban setting.

The Brother From Another Planet (1984)

A young boy, determined to find his missing father, travels to Germany, hoping to bring him back. Deep in the eerie Swabian-Franconian forest, he uncovers a chilling legacy left behind by a mysterious meteorite, setting the stage for a haunting journey.

The Color Out of Space (2010)
